All the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby
Lennon/McCartney

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby, picks up the rice
in the church where a wedding has
been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window,
wearing the face
that she keeps in a jar by the door

Who is it for All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Father McKenzie,writing the words
of a sermon
that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working, darning his
socks
in the night when there's nobody
there
What does he care
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?

All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby, died in the church
and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt
from his hands as he walks from the
grave
No one was saved

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

WHY IS THERE LONELINESS IN THE WORLD? It is because God made us for companionship.

There are times when we all feel lonely. A new town, a new job, a new school, the loss of loved one will all cause loneliness. That kind of loneliness is natural—it won't last. But for some, loneliness runs much deeper.

A Swiss woman lived in a large apartment house and worked with many people. Each evening she tuned in to the sign-off of the radio station just to hear a voice say, "We wish you a very pleasant good night." She imagined that voice speaking just to her.

LONELINESS: THE UNIVERSAL EMOTION.Loneliness is not uncommon.

The world is full of Eleanor Rigby’s.

Gen. 2:18
"Not good for man to be alone"

Sin entered the picture; people became separated from God and from each other. Sin destroys relationships.

Dr. Karl Menninger, the famous psychiatrist, once gave a lecture on mental health and was answering questions from audience.

One man asked: "What would you advise a person to do if that person felt a nervous breakdown coming on?"

All those in the audience thought that he would say, "Consult a psychiatrist" but to their astonishment the doctor replied:

"Lock up your house, go across the railroad tracks, find someone who is in need, and do something to help that person."

The best treatment for loneliness (as well as other emotional problems) is to DO
SOMETHING FOR OTHERS!

How do I do that; I can’t even help my self? The Lord has made us for His work on this earth, but we are often doing things backwards from what He has made us for. Jesus is no longer walking in the flesh on this earth, so if someone needs a hug from Him, He sends His children that are very much like Him. Jesus says, “If you have seen me, you have seen my Father”. Jesus and His Father are the same. Do we understand that? He is so like His Father that you cannot tell the difference. He loves people like His Father, He talks like His Father and He sounds like His Father, and Jesus wants us to be just like Him.

Our Lord was on His way to the cross before the earth was even made. That is hard to understand, so let’s bring this thought closer home in our minds.
He came into our life in the flesh, as a baby, to walk to the cross for us. From infancy to a thirty-three year old man may seem like a long time to us. Can you imagine that the whole time He spent on this earth, He knew that He was to bear the pain of the cross? Can you see that His focus was not on the cross, but on people? That helped His thoughts; He cares for us so much that He took that walk.

If are thought are on do things for other people and how I can glorify God though Christ Jesus , then when do we have time to think about loneliness and other problem that are in our path.

When we are self center instead of Christ center then we are always going to be in distress going though our trials. I want to be like Jesus, just loving people. Its the Love of Jesus that held Him on the cross and its His love that saves.

Lonelieness is a real problem for a lot of people.

Having fellowship with God through Christ is the only answer to loneliness.

God Bless
