KING OF ALL
Ephesians 1:22-23
And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.
The only place this kind of power is ever going to be manifest is in you and me, in the midst of our pressures and problems.
God's power is the power to be patient in maddening situations.
It's the power to love a person when he is irritating the socks off of you.
It's the power to be joyful in the midst of suffering and distress.
It's the power to be thankful in the midst of deprivation.
That is what Paul is talking about--the power to live as God intended us to live. God sent His Son to us so that we might have hope, and riches, and power--the power to be what He wants us to be, and the power to be what we truly want to be.
God has designed that his church should operate as a body. We all have bodies that we might understand. Without the proper functioning of the bodies in which we live, our life, the life of our spirit, our personality if you like, can never be made manifest to anyone else. It takes the body to make the life visible. That is also true of the church. If the church of Jesus Christ is not functioning as a body, then the life that is in it (which is the life of Jesus) can never be seen. It takes the body to make the life visible.
I believe that this is one of the major reasons why many people today never seem to discover who they are. They never learn what they can do, what possibilities lie within, and what potential is theirs because they have never discovered who God is. We reflect Him, and therefore it is extremely important that we come to know God better.
It is the power to bring life out of death, hope out of hopelessness, joy out of sorrow, and beauty out of ashes. May we see it, believe it, and act on it--and may the world see God's power flowing through us as we boldly take on the challenges of our daily lives.

Oh my, that picture was incredible, I was just talking about how the Bible was inspired, and sometimes God gave His word by speaking, other times by revelation, and the Ten Commandments He wrote himself.
We were also talking about the time a Human hand appeared and wrote on the wall, so this was definately for me today. Thanks!
Thank You LLL
May The Lord Bless you Always
You have a Sweet Spirit and I love that about you....

Excellent,Doug. The church is Christ's body. May His Spirit's life be manifest through it.
Good stuff.
Simply being aware of His power in itself can ward off much doubt and fear. Great post Doug.
It's easy to be joyful when everything's going well, but to feel joy in a time of suffering, that's only possible with God. I can honestly say I've felt this kind of joy at a time of sorrow, a joy that comes from a hopeful heart and eyes that look to Jesus.
Great post.
Thanks Mark

I agree with live, love...the picture was powerful.
Indicative of God's power.
It was with that "hand" that He took out my heart of stone, and replaced it. I am...
...grateful for grace.
